Terms and conditions of hire

The “hirer” is the customer hiring the equipment from Florence’s Emporium in these terms and conditions.


Minimum hire is $45. All items are hired out for  2-3 days unless other arrangements have been made.  If an extension of hire is required Florence’s Emporium  must be notified 7 days prior to the scheduled pick-up/return,  additional charges may apply. Failure to return hire equipment within the specified times may  incur extra charges.


Full payment is due on booking and is not refundable.


In extreme circumstances Florence’s Emporium may allow a postponement of your hire if plenty of notice is given. Postponements will not be available within 14 days of an event.


All furniture  hire items are to be transported in a careful manner, using the quilted removalist blankets for protection and straps supplied by Florence’s Emporium. If there is any likelihood of rain during pickup or return times, hire items must be transported in an enclosed vehicle and not in an open trailer.

Damage, lost, stolen or unclean equipment

All goods hired are the responsibility of the hirer from the time of pickup until goods are returned to Florence’s Emporium, Ingle Farm.  I understand accidents sometimes happen, so in the event of a light stain, a nominal cleaning fee will be invoiced to your account. The hirer is liable to pay full replacement cost of any equipment which has been badly damaged, lost or stolen. The hirer will pay any incidental repair costs for damaged equipment. Any damaged equipment will be assessed at the discretion of Florence’s Emporium (This includes if the item can be repaired or if it requires replacement). Burns, holes, tears, water damage or other similar damage to equipment shall be replaced at full cost to the hirer..  Any lounes, sofas, armchairs returned unclean to Florence’s Emporium, shall incur a minimum cleaning fee of $100.00.The hirer shall endeavour to protect the equipment from the elements during the time of hire. In poor weather conditions, storage of the equipment may be necessary and is the responsibility of the hirer to see that the equipment is stored safely and without damage . Any equipment damaged from weather is the full responsibility of the hirer and shall be paid at full replacement cost to Florence’s Emporium.

Pick up and return Times

Pickup is offered Thursdays or  Fridays between 5 – 7pm. Returns Sundays and Mondays  5-7pm  We understand for DIY couples this may be difficult therefore pick up and returns may arranged on another day in certain cases. Please book your pick up and return times at time of booking..

Photos and Social Media

We love seeing client photos on social media, just as much as we love sharing them so others can get a glimpse of the unique items we have available! On payment, the client agrees to release images for advertising or marketing by Florence’s Emporium. Photos may be shared on Florence’s Emporium  Facebook, Instagram or Website, unless otherwise stated by the client.


Florence’s Emporium shall in no way be held responsible or accountable for any injury, death  or loss of income caused to the hirer, any third parties or properties due to the hire of equipment.

Accidents sometimes happen and in the unlikely event that a customer damages an item already  booked for another event, every endeavour will be taken to repair the item in time or a similar item of the hirer’s choice may be substituted, however due to the unique nature of our stock,  this may sometimes not be possible and Florence’s Emporium accepts no liability in these circumstances.
